On Saturday, July 21st, we held an outdoor outreach in TipTop Park, South Rocky Mount. We brought a Food Bank Truck out of Raleigh to bring a large refrigerated truck full of food, and a food truck to be on site in the afternoon serving BarBQue sandwiches, fish sandwiches, and fries. Well over 300 meals were served from the food truck. We supplied free groceries for over 200 families!
We had bouncy houses setup for the children. LoRoca Ministries (a hispanic church in Rocky Mount) also joined us serving up fresh tamales. Our addiction recovery ministry team, and Oakdale Church, witnessed and prayed with individuals and families as they came through. Funding was also used to bring in several Christian HipHop artists who took the stage from about 4PM-8PM. There were giveaways, including several children's bikes, bibles, soccer balls, etc...
There was preaching, testimonies, and plenty of singing and music. The altar call brought several to the altar making commitments to follow Christ. It was a full day of ministry and being "The Hands and Feet of Jesus," which was the name given to this outreach. Thank-you for supporting this!
