Southside Baptist Church had an amazing opportunity to provide a meal for the JV football teams at Southern Nash High School and at Fike High School. We feed the Southern Nash team on October 3rd and November 7th and the Fike team on November 7th. Chick-fil-a gave us a discount on the sandwiches and both head coach Brain Foster of Southern Nash and head coach Josh Jenkins of Fike asked us to share a devotion with the teams. Coach Foster commented after the devotion that a time in God’s Word is what gets him pumped up and ready for a game. The Fike team was chanting “I will let my light shine” during warm-ups. Coach Jenkins gave Southside a game ball as a thank you for coming and showing God’s love to his team. All together we were able to share the Gospel with over 100 coaches and players. Thank you to the NRBA for partnering with Southside on this awesome outreach to two schools in our community.
