Community Ministry Team

Funding Request Process

Purpose:  The Community Ministry Team will offer financial assistance to churches seeking to strengthen their ministry by engaging in hands-on projects to meet LOCAL community needs such as food distribution, medical/dental bus, Handyman projects, or other ministry needs. The Community Ministry Team will partner with association member churches to pay one half of the cost of a ministry project up to $500 per year.

Eligibility:  In order to be considered for any assistance, the requesting church must be in good standing. This means that the church is an active, contributing member of NRBA and has completed the ACP (Annual Church Profile).

Request Info:  In order to process your request, we will need the Community Ministry Form completed. It must include a short description of how the fulfillment of the request will strengthen your church while complying with the purpose of this program. Requests should by made by the senior pastor.

Priority:  Requests are processed on a first come/first serve basis. However, if multiple requests are received during the process, priority will be established by the DOM and/or Community Ministry Team. All requests for assistance shall be made and approved prior to expenditure. Funds are limited and available according to the fiscal budget.

Accountability:  In order to demonstrate to the association that funds are being used appropriately and as intended, a church requesting assistance must complete the Follow-up Form that will be sent with any funding that is provided. No additional requests from that church will be considered until the follow-up information is received.
